We’ve all heard and seen commercials where the business gives their phone number as a word:
“Call 1-800-HEAL-PETS and talk to one of our friendly receptionists…”
Phone numbers that spell a word are usually easier for people to remember – in fact I can start humming a jingle from a local carpet cleaner whose phone number spells a word. I’ve never used this company because we have hard surface floors at the office and at home, but I do know their number in case an urge ever comes over me to clean carpets.
However most of us have phone numbers that are just numbers…but what if there was a word hidden in your phone number? One that could be used to make it more memorable to your customers.
Today’s tech tip is a link to a website where you can find the answer to the question in just a few seconds. Just visit the site, put in your number and quickly you will discover what hidden words your phone number contains.

(Just discovered my personal cell number spells par-fum-8808)
And if you do discover that your phone number does, indeed, contain a cool word or two and you start to use it in your marketing materials, just make sure to also give your regular phone number for folks who plan on calling you right then. Nothing I hate more than converting a phone number word to just plain numbers.
