Recall news of the week
We have two recall items for you this week. The first you may be aware of, Bravo! LCC is recalling tubes of frozen cat and dog food, because of a potential bacterial contamination. Also, something you may not have heard, its not really a recall as much as a result of the recall, Chinese wheat gluten is being heavily scrutinized before being allowed entry to the US, and much of it is being rejected because regulators aren't sure they're free of the same contaminant that led to last spring's pet-food recall. Before the recall, wheat gluten was rarley inspected because it was considered low risk.

Raisin Toxicity Case
This is a reminder to dog owners that raisins, as well as a handful of other foods including chocolate and onions, can be harmful and even fatal to your pet. The article is a reminder that we, as pet owners, must be alert to what our pets are consuming and that we must take action when we see they are in some distress. Please read this article and forward it to anyone who should have the information.

My dog has Mast Cell cancer and this is the 3rd time it has come back. I would like to know what I can do other than surgery which would require removing her back leg.
Is there anything else I can do?
Thank you

My cat has a very persistent case of urinarey tract infection.
Been on two rounds of Baytril, 2 weeks each and last night she peed on my mattress again which tells me it is not completely cured or something else is happening.
We did an initial urine test and they did not find anything, but are culturing the urine for more possibilites.
I am really not wanting to do more antibiotics. Any suggestions?
Thanks
