Two yorkies started wetting in their sleep. Could it be menopause?

I have two yorkies, 10 & 11 years old and they have started wetting in their sleep. I have read that they are going through menopause and need some specific herbs to stop this from happening, can you help with this?

Thank You

  1. Mike Keem, DVM - E. Aurora, NY says:

The first thing to do is get a urine sample from each to your veterinarian to look for signs of reanl failure, diabetes, infection, etc. If the urine is normal, then you very well may be dealing with “urethral incontinence”…formerly known as estrogen responsive urinary incontinence. This is easily treated with phenylpropanolamine or diethylstibesterol at appropriate dosage.

PS: Female dogs NEVER go into menopause!!

please make an appointment to see youir vet. There is a drug , NOT AN HERB, that can help you.
