OUR 2 YR OLD PAPILLON IS KNAWING & SCRATCHING BUT THERE ARE NO FLEAS…IS THIS AN ALLERGY? WHAT TO DO?

” From a veterinarian: Look for little black specks of “dirt” on the skin of the dog’s rump above the tail–if you find them, then there ARE fleas around! If not, you need to take your dog to your veterinarian for a diagnosis–nobody can diagnose the cause of the itch without seeing the patient.”
