It began as my lovebird losing her feathers, yet now its gotten so awful! I attempted to provide for her water and she submerged her head and began fluttering her wings like she was suffocating, and she simply continued doing it again and again, so then I took the water away and she began hitting her head on the pen and it was terrible. What would I be able to do?
Please help!

Hi Cyril. Winged pets will pluck there feathers due to anxiety, fatigue, poor diet or health problems; lovebirds are likewise known to be plucker’s. The feathered creature needs no less than 1 hour of your attention every day. If she was actually banging her head on the cage but is properly taken care of then there is something troubling her. Usually something painful. She might just be molting which can harm if touched. Its best to take the bird to an “Avian vet” Its a vet for birds to be sure.
