One of my chinchilla’s fur isn’t soft anymore. Its almost like a sticky feeling and rough. What do I do!? I put him in his chinchilla bath but it got worse and the dust pretty much stuck to him. Why is this happening and What should I do? Please help my chinchilla! -Rose

These are the sign of stress for chinchillas.
-Not being able to sleep during the day
-Being scared by noisy environment
-Animals such as dogs/ cats/ Rabbits being around them or in the same room.
-Not having regular time out the cage (at least an hour daily is ideal)
-Health problems such as tooth ache (very common in Chichillas)
-Loneliness.. many owners only get one chin because of the cost but they are actually a lot happier in pairs.
I would suggest trying to take him to the vet ASAP as it could be a health problem, and take away anything that is stressing your chinchilla out.
Another thing it could be is that your chinchilla has some how got his fur wet, in which case he could have a fungal infection, again you need to go to the vet for this.
Go to the vet asap and he will be fine. Good luck.
