Pet Turtle problem

I have a brand new pet turtle and it’s my first time getting a pet.  I actually have no clue on what to do. Please help me.

    Provide it with water and some type of land. Put a light over the cage or buy a heat rock for them to sit on. Feed it turtle pellets every morning.
