Two weeks ago my cat of 18 yrs suffered a slight stroke. She was down for two days and then came around and she is doing better.
Now I’m worried again. Her belly is swelling up and she does not seem in pain but she eats twice a day and drinks a lot of water and she voids a lot too.
Her bowels are moving as well. I don’t want to take her to our vet for fear he will say put her down. I can’t do that. I believe God gives life and he will take her when it’s time.
Can you suggest anything?

I have a 21 month old female collie who started exhibiting neuro issues after receiving a Lyme booster in January. She is now having one petite mal seizure about every one to two months. Rather than conventional Rx with phenobarb or KBr, is there something natural that can be given? I would rather not have to watch her acquire new problems from side effects.

I have a 9-1/2 year old Bischon who has problems with crystals in her urine.
She recently had a bladder x-ray and, thankfully, no stones. She is on Hills U/D and gets 500 mg of Vit. C twice a day. She goes several months with no bleeding. Then it starts up again and she has blood in her urine and the Vet puts her on Clavamox for 2 or 3 weeks.
I would love to find a permanent relief for them.

What is a safe pain relief for very small dogs?
My 2-year old (5lbs, 8oz) hurt her leg and began limping. We took her to our Vet and received Metacam 0.5mg to give her once daily.
I stopped giving it to her because I read in the information sheet that came with the medication that it could cause seizures, liver disease and/or kidney disease.
Is there something I can give her for pain and inflammation that doesn’t have so many side affects?
Thanks for your help.

I have had arthritic tests for my dog which are negative, but every now and then he cannot seem to get up. He cannot seem to move his body freely, and appears to be in pain.
What could this be? Should I get neurological tests??
Thank you

We have a 4 year old yellow Lab- On Sunday she started to develop red sores on her butt area, and by Tuesday the red sores had spread drastically – covering her belly , her legs, and certain points on her face. I also noticed that her ears and face have become very swollen since Sunday. She seems to be very, very thirsty and depressed.
Since we took her to the vet on Wednesday and got her a steroid injection things have gotten more swollen on her face and now she has open sores on her face. The vet also gave her a prescription for presidone(sp).
Any suggestions? We have considered the possibility of an allergic reaction but thought that her reaction may have been more immediate instead of progressively getting worse.

Are there homeopathic vaccinations for rabies so that I may take my cat to Canada that they will recognize as legal.
She’s been an indoor cat for 8 years. When I adopted her then she was given all her shots including rabies and she’s not been exposed to the outdoors since..
Healthy and homeopathic since then and I don’t want to give her shots if I don’t have to.

My daughter’s cat (about 13 years old) has developed a large growth on his whisker pad, most whiskers are gone along with fur in the area of the growth. He is okay other than the growth, eats/drinks and does not seem to be in pain. She took him to the vet and they said it is not an abscess and they want to do a biopsy ($600) to find out what it is and if it is cancerous. Do you know what this could be? If she does do the biopsy and it is cancerous she will not be able to afford radiation, do you feel a biopsy is necessary? They said if it is a non-cancerous growth/tumor they could not remove it because it would remove part of his face, plus I am sure that procedure would be expensive as well.
Do you have an advice????

I have a 9 year old shepherd rottie mix who was just diagnosed with sarcoma.
They removed an 11 oz tumor from his right side and found gristle type material on the inside. The concern now is osteosarcoma. He will have x-ray on Monday. The tumor was in a sheath.
I’m desperately seeking advice, suggestions etc. on diet, meds anything at this point. I’ve had him from birth and am not ready to lose him.
Thanks for any help you can give!
