7y/o Eskimo with mysterious seizures. Need help!
July 13th, 2010My fat cat is on a diet but is still not losing. Help!
June 29th, 2010My 7 year old spayed female cat is huge. We put her on a special diet but she’s only lost half a pound so far and still has five more to go. Despite carefully watching what she eats, she’s not really losing.
Do you have any tips or suggestions for us? We’re at our wits end!
Sincerely,
DL
What is the cost for Home Euthanasia for a small dog?
June 24th, 2010My dog has a growth on her right leg
June 22nd, 2010Hi,
I have a 12 year old pug and I’d like your opinion about a growth the inside of his right front leg.
We took him to our vet who told us it was a fatty tissue that hangs down about two inches.
My dog has had it for about a year and it doesn’t seem to bother him. Our vet said it was benign and we could just let it alone as it is not a health problem.
Is he correct?

Cat with chronic constipation. What can we do?
June 20th, 2010Our cat has had chronic constipation with very hard and dry feces. Our vet gave us stool softeners that work most of the time, but even then the cat still has ‘episodes’.
Do you have any clue why this might be happening even with stool softeners?
Is there anything else that we can give him to make him regular and prevent this from happening?

Older cat with hyperthyroidism. Having problems with regular medication
June 6th, 2010I have an older calico cat and I recently brought her to my veterinarian for her annual checkup. She had lost two pounds from the year before and I didn’t even notice.
My veterinarian did some blood tests and told me that she has hyperthyroidism. He said this is very common in older cats and that she needed to start taking pills to control it.
I travel a lot and I’m not sure if I can give her the medication regularly.
Are there any other options?
Pat

Anyone else have bad reaction to Frontline?
June 4th, 2010I put Frontline plus on my dog and she came up in a big weeping sore on the spot I put it.
She has had Frontline plus once before with no reaction. Poor girl is so distressed and trying to scratch it all the time.
I gave it to her a week ago and she was really irritable but only started scratching madly last night and the hair has fallen out and the welt is 3inches round and about 1/2 inch deep.
It’s raw and weeping puss like substance.
I won’t use a product like this again. I’m using powder from the vet and natural remedies to heal it.
10 y/o cat w/diabetes HATES her food!
June 3rd, 2010My 10-year-old cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes. The vet prescribed a special diabetic food, but my cat doesn’t like it and refuses to eat it.
Does anyone have any suggestions to help get my cat to eat her food or at least to eat better?
I’m tearing my hair out!!!!

Do you think my dog has separation anxiety? Can you help?
June 2nd, 2010Hello,
I leave my dog in the laundry room when I am gone at work.
In the last few months, she has gotten more and more destructive. My dog always scratched the door a bit, but now it is ruined and she’s chewing on the trim round the door. I’ve tried a few things but nothing really helps.
My neighbor says she might have separation anxiety.
Can you help?
Thank You – Kay
How often should I brush my pet’s teeth?
June 1st, 2010How often do dogs and cats need to have their teeth brushed? To be truthful I don’t get this done for them that often and I feel a little guilty.
What is a minimum frequency you recommend?
