Our 10 year-old toy poodle has crusty discharge from her eyes for months but now she is squinting and rubbing her eyes. What could this be and is there a treatment to help her?

Well, whenever there is a problem with your pet’s eyes, its important to have it checked out. There can be several causes for your dog’s eye symptoms from allergies to a foreign body irritating the eye to an ulcer to something else.
Have your vet give her a checkup and discover what the problem is and do it soon. She’s obviously in some discomfort.
Sincerely,
Taylor
I agree with Taylor. I might also suggest, however, making sure that the hair around the dog’s eyes is kept well trimmed.
