My dog has a growth on her right leg

Hi,

I have a 12 year old pug and I’d like your opinion about a growth  the inside of his right front leg.

We took him to our vet who told us it was a fatty tissue that hangs down about two inches.

My dog has had it for about a year and it doesn’t seem to bother him.  Our vet said it was benign and we could just let it alone as it is not a health problem.

Is he correct?

The word benign means noncancerous. Cancer is a malignancy. Lots of dogs have fatty tumors called lipoma. I know you don’t want it to be that, but its a possibility. Take your dog to another vet for a second opinion and see what she/he says.

Good luck with your dog! Hope I helped!

P.S. dont worry about it too much, your worry isnt going to help, just make you even more nervous

You should be specific on that? Is it a growth or lump on any of his body part? Or is it a growth related to your dog’s built?
