Hello,
I have a question about my lab that is about 1 1/2 years old. He hasn’t eaten in about 3 days and we just noticed this morning that he’s been throwing up and his stool is watery. Is that a sign of Parvo? He’s also about 1 month late on his vaccinations for this year so I’m really worried about him. Also I have another little dog, should I separate them?
Hi – Please call your vet and talk to them about this right away. It is hard for a vet or pet professional to diagnose something by just reading about it and you want to make sure your pet’s health is not at risk. Also, until you are sure what is wrong, it is not a bad idea to keep your dogs separated.
Best Wishes,
Rose

If your puppy had proper vaccinations at four months of age or older, parvo is very unlikely. However, you need to immediately get in for veterinary care. This could be anything from a foreign body in the gastrointestinal tract, to infection. Don’t delay!
