Dear pet owner: Your question is difficult to answer because you did not say if your dog has demodectic or sarcoptic mange. Sarcoptic is very itchy and contagious to people and other dogs. Demodectic is less itchy depending on how much secondary infection is present. Demodectic mange is easy to cure in dogs under one year of age and in old dogs it frequently indicates other health problems. So, you need your vet to tell you which type of mange and this is accomplished with a skin scraping test done in the office. You will have an answer in minutes.
THEN, AFTER A DIAGNOSIS, you can start treatment. I do not know of any homeopathic remedies for either, but regular veterinary medicines are quite effective.
