I want a dog and I need help

I want a dog preferably a small to midsized. All my family and friends have one except me my brother and my parents.

Here’s the thing, we want one we all do but  its just that we are vacationers and I think we wont have enough time for the dog even though we only travel on Christmas and summer and for no more than 1 week and a half.  What should I do?

    First, determine if you can spend enough time, and give enough of yourselves to be a good pet owner. Pets are a huge responsibility, and need time and attention. You need to research diets, fencing needs, grooming, temperaments of different breeds, etc. AND someone has to be responsible for picking up pet waste as well as if the pet vomits or damages furniture, clothes, shoes etc. On top of all that, training is essential for a good pet. That takes consitency and a clear goal. So figure out if you’re willing to devote a decent chunk of your free time caring for a pet.
