How to stop my dogs from barking when they see people or anything moving?

I have 2 cairn terrier brothers that are two years old. I can’t even walk them anymore because they bark at people or animals. Every time they see a jogger they just go nuts. I wanna be able to walk them without being embarrassed! Help!

You need to enlist the help of others to help your dogs learn not to bark. I don’t read that they try to bite anyone, just bark. It could be that they just want to participate and have people pay attention to them. I used to have a dog that did that. She sounded vicious and scared everyone, but she just wanted to play and get attention. Let them meet people willing to participate in your training or enlist the help of some friends. Give the people treats to present to the dogs when they greet them without barking. If they bark, have the people turn and walk away. Reward good behavior and ignore bad. Be consistent. All dogs, regardless of their size, should be trained to be good neighbors and citizens so they’ll be safe in any situation.
