Does my baby ferret have a problem?

My baby ferret Lia, is not as energetic as my two older ferrets. I’m pretty new at owning ferrets but isn’t the younger ones more hyper? Can she be ill? She’s not acting sick.

Thanks,

Claude

Yes Claude, usually younger ones are more lively. She is not as much energetic than when you got her or has she always been like this? If she has constantly been less active, then it is probably nothing to worry about. If she was more energetic before there could be a problem. Furthermore, how long have you had her, if she is still new to your home, it could be she is still trying to get used to the brand-new place. In any case, it can’t hurt to take her to the vet for a check up. Since you are new to ferrets, I am not sure if you are aware but ferrets need shot just like cats and dogs. They need distemper and rabies. I hope this helps. Enjoy your ferrets!
