Sounds like megacolon, or could be heading that way. May eventually need surgery. Ditch the pumpkin. Feed a low-residue diet with the Cisapride. May needs some stool softeners, etc and more frequent checkups.

It needs to be determined if this is indeed megacolon versus chronic constipation issues.
With megacolon a low residue diet e.g. Hill’s I/d in conjunction with Colace and Dulcolax 2 capsules daily would be recommended with surgery as a last resort.

It would be helpful to know what type of tumor was removed. An alpha glycan powder that dissolves in chicken broth would be an easy way to support the body and nourish the individual cells along with an anti-oxidant such as Vital Red. These products by Cyberwize have shown great support for the body under stress. The second question on the cat with chronic impaction of the colon which might be helped by gradually changing to a raw diet. You may get information on raw diets from the internet. Many of these cats will trim down and begin to have normal BM after 3-4 weeks on raw food. Sometimes a little fiber needs to be continued but overall they are healthier and the need for enemas is decreased or eliminated.

You need someone who practices Integrative Veterinary Medicine. Check the Chi Institute at http://www.tcvm.com for vets adding Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine to their practice modality and the American Holistic Veterinary Medicine Association at http://www.AHVMA.org.
Beware of vets who practice a “cookbook” style of medicine, which appears to use Chinese medicine or holistic medicine but in reality simply treats elements of those modalities as if they were drugs. These type of “holistic” vets will ignore the diagnostic and treatment protocols of TCVM.
English Medicine does not use surgery as often as American medicine does. Their reasoning is that cancer is a failure of the immune system to identify damaged cells. If you have one tumor, you have other cells which are in the process of becoming tumors. Surgery triggers cell growth to repair the damage, often triggering tumor growth. That is why the toxic chemo therapy is used…kill the new cells, hopefully killing the cancer before the rest of the body. Holistic or TCVM takes a different approach.
Good luck on finding a qualified vet.
I do accept as true with all of the concepts you’ve offered on your post. They’re really convincing and will definitely work.
