Cat health question, is this a problem?

Thursday, December 15th, 2011

My cat is eight years old, a little fat (or alot). But anyway she has a swelling on her chin about the size of a small pea. I don’t know what it is but I’m a little concerned because I have known the occasional dog to get cancer there. Is this normal or is it a problem.

Thank you,

Shiela

Help! Cat health problem

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

I have a mama cat and she seems like she is not feeling fine. She does eat and everything I noticed she does not want to be touched underneath her belly, she will not let her kittens feed either. Is this signs of some sort of infection?

Help! Possible bladder control problem

Monday, December 5th, 2011

My name is Kris. I’m baby sitting my sister’s dog and every time someone walks in the room she pees. We have to tie her leash to a chair so she can’t get into the living room where the carpets are. Anyone have any idea what might be wrong with her? Apparently she had the same problem at my sister’s house only not as bad.

When I say we tied her to a chair, I don’t mean we tied her so she can’t move. She can walk around the kitchen but that’s all or else she walks onto the carpet when someone comes down stairs and then she pees.

Could a dog flea problem cause diarrhea?

Monday, December 5th, 2011

My dog has a minor flea infestation and frontline is very difficult to apply to her oily skin.  Anyway, she has been having diarrhea for around 3 days now.  Could the flea problem be causing the diarrhea?  She also threw up at the beginning of the diarrhea period.

Thank you.

My dog ate crazy glue!!!

Sunday, December 4th, 2011

I have a serious dog problem, my dog ate crazy glue and I want to know how this will affect her. I don’t know how much of it she ate but I took her outside to eat grass because she normally throws up after eating that stuff so I’m hoping that will prevent any sickness. She also has crazy glue and her paw and on her lips that have dried out, how can I remove this?

I already tried using soap and water. Help!

How do you know if a dog has a fur problem?

Tuesday, November 29th, 2011

When I get home from work my dog always smells like he hasn’t had a bath in weeks but I give my dog a bath every other day. Does he have some kind of fur or skin problem?

Can a cat get sick in drinking water from a fish tank with algae?

Tuesday, November 29th, 2011

I have a fish tank and there is green algae growing in it.  My cat has been drinking out of the tank for months, but recently the algae has really built up.  My cat has been throwing up, and it is the same color of the algae.  Is this what could be making him sick??

My cat has been diagnosed with FIP

Monday, March 16th, 2009

My cat has been diagnosed with FIP, (Feline infectious peritonitis).

Is there any alternative medicine. Like DMSO, or hydrogen peroxide treatments, of which both are known to treat viruses?

Is there anything you can do to prolong my cat’s life.

He is a 5 year old male. He hasn’t lost weight from this disease.

Do you have any prior experience with treating this fatal disease? I’m heartbroken and feel there must be SOMETHING that can be done to make him well again.
