Dog diagnosed with sarcoma. Desparately seeking advice

Friday, June 5th, 2009

I have a 9 year old shepherd rottie mix who was just diagnosed with sarcoma.

They removed an 11 oz tumor from his right side and found gristle type material on the inside.  The concern now is osteosarcoma.  He will have x-ray on Monday.  The tumor was in a sheath.

I’m desperately seeking advice, suggestions etc. on diet, meds anything at this point.  I’ve had him from birth and am not ready to lose him.

Thanks for any help you can give!

10 y/o Basset diagnosed with transitional cell carcinoma. Supplement advice?

Monday, April 6th, 2009

Our 10 yr old basset has just been diagnosed with transitional cell carcinoma, tumors on his prostate and bladder, both of which are inoperable. He is taking 6 mg daily of peroxicam.

We would like to add a supplment to his diet and would like to know if and what would work well with the medicine he is on.

Thank you.

12 y/o lab with possible mast cell tumor and seizures

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

My dog, a 12 year old Yellow Lab, has what appears to be a mast cell tumor on her left rear leg, has had 5 seizures in the last week and her liver enzymes are elevated.

She will have a biopsy next week.

She has no loss of appetite or change in behavior.

I am worried sick and want to know what our options are?

Suggestions for excellent hospital for cancer surgery for dog in Jupiter FL

Saturday, April 26th, 2008

Chelsea (10 lb Sheltie)– 12.5 years old has a .45 X .5 tumor in her bladder in the front (where they say it can be operated on).  I was thinking of laser surgery but have spoken to a Dr. who said perhaps regular surgery is best to get clear margins.   Any excellent hospitals or names of Dr’s would be appreciated.  Thank you. 4 year old doggie was diagnosed with Lymphoma.

Friday, March 7th, 2008

This past fall, my St.Bernard/Golden Retriever, 4 year old doggie was diagnosed with Lymphoma. I had him on about 3 months of chemo, and he was doing very well on it, but decided to take him off of it to go a holistic approach. The chemo just seemed too traumatic of an approach. I tried a couple holistic approaches, but am thinking I might not have given any one of them a really whole-hearted approach. And now I’m kicking myself because his lymph nodes are enlarged, and looks like I absolutely have to put him back on the chemo.
I’m going to do both chemo and holistic, it looks like. If anyone has any sure fire holistic approaches that they recommend, please let me know. For some reason, this whole thing is difficult for me to confront…. Especially the chemo aspect. I’m just in denial that there’s anything wrong with him.
Aside from enlarged lymph nodes, he is exceedingly healthy, lively, playful and full of life. I think it would be helpful to have some sort of reassurance that certain approaches really do help and that I’m doing the right thing. I feel a little overwhelmed and really don’t know if any of what I’ve done was the right thing or not. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Hi,

Have you ever heard of a treatment for cancer involving Neoplasene? If so, what can you tell me about it? How much does a treatment cost?

Dog diagnosed with lymphnoid cancer. Need diet help

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

My dog was diagnosed with early stages of lymphnoid cancer. He is 11 years old and in perfect health otherwise. He has had his 1st chemo Friday.

I have been researching what is the best vitamin, food to give him to help promote the success rate of remission, keep the cancer cells from reforming and keep his vital organs from shutting down during the chemo. Are there any suggestions for increasing the success rate for his recovery and also stop this cancer from reoccurring?

Thank You
