My mother’s 7-year-old Boston Terrier was diagnosed with a Grade 3 Mass Cell Tumor. It was in the Anal/Vulva area. Although the tumor was completely removed, the Vet and the Pathology report believes the cancer has spread. Blossom is eating well and shows no signs of the cancer. The tumor was there for at least 6-months with no other signs of illness. We have gotten a second opinion from another vet is has dealt extensively with Mass Cell Tumors. He says that at the moment Blossom is cancer free with no signs. He has suggested not putting her on any other medications. She is already taking Benedryl 25 mm twice a day. My mother is against chem & radiation therapy. I was reading a posting from a lady that says her dog is on MCT nosode, CV 247, Floressence. Can you tell me what this is?

I would like to know if there are alternative treatments for a 16 year old cat with CRF and another, 7 years old, with asthma?
Thank You.

I am looking for a veterinarian who can give shots and exams to dogs, cats, and rabbits. Also, the vet I am looking for needs to know about rabbits and rabbit health.
This is very important as I am unable to find a vet for my rabbit. House calls would be best but I would also like to know of a vet who is knowledgable of rabbit health as the only vet around Jacksonville is very far away and it is stressful to my rabbit to ride in the car. The stress is too much for him which is one reason I would like someone who can do house calls.
Anyone have a good recommendation?

I have a 4 y/o basset that has been diagnosed with atopic dermatitis. I don’t want to continue with the steroid treatment my vet prescribed because I know it has severe long term side effects.
I have him on antihistimines and I also have a teatree oil and aloe spray for his really itchy spots. We have also been giving him baths in oatmeal & aloe shampoo and conditioner.
He just seems miserble as his antihistimines wear off just before his next dose time.
What can I do to help him?
The steroids had nasty side effects while he was on them.
I don’t want to put him back on steroids and I have an alternative medicine book on dog allergies but I don’t know what to do right now.
Any advice out there?
Thanks, Dori

My Weimaraner was diagnosed with MCTs two years ago – he had two tumours removed, one being on his head so the surgeon wasn’t able to take a wide enough margin. After two operations we decided enough was enough and looked into Homeopathy, and found a wonderful Holistic Vet, we haven’t looked back since. He is taking an MCT nosode, CV 247 (which is also being trialled on humans and is showing very favourable results), Floressence, he is on an organic RAW diet, has cottage cheese and ground flaxseed, fish oils, garlic, yogurt etc. He is doing extremely well, he’s happy, active and full of life, out hunting every day and people can’t believe he has cancer, it’s amazing! Research has shown that we are over vaccinating our pets, the wormers etc are filling them with toxins and this is the result, all unnecessary when it can be done naturally IMO. I urge everyone to please look at alternatives as it’s been a complete eye opener to me 🙂

I have a small 18 month old female collie. Around 20 – 30 mins after taking her out on an overgrown track (grass, nettles etc) her face began to ripple and swelled to more than twice its size within seconds, in front of my eyes. Her eyes were ‘Chinese’ looking and she basically looked like a Staff Bull Terrier. She did not seem distressed, was eating and drinking as normal and swallowing and barking OK. The swelling has gone down quite a bit this morning and she is still eating OK. She has been up this track many times, but not for a couple of weeks due to the overgrowth.
Could this be a bite or sting?

My dog vomited twice yesterday. The first time was his food and the second was yellow and watery. He didn’t really eat his food today and just wanted water however he vomited that watery yellow stuff again. He is pretty much acting like his normal self playing and all besides the eating.
What should I do?
Could it be the heat?
