I have a pet rat and 2 ferrets. My rat’s cage is pretty near the ferret cage. We keep her very clean, but I think she has something wrong with her. She has a huge lump on her abdomen. She’s 3 years old, and I lost her sister to a tumor about a year ago so I’m pretty sure this is the same, but at the same time I’m worried she may have some kind of disease that she could pass along to my ferrets. Is that possible?

Sunday, November 17th, 2013Why has my dog developed a taste for deer droppings?
Friday, November 15th, 2013My dog snacks on it whenever he can find it. I’m not really sure why though. He eats Innova dog food. Could it have something to do with cold weather?

How do I Treat my Hamsters Skin Condition?
Monday, October 28th, 2013I love my robo hamster and shes just too young to die. I just noticed she has lost the fur on her lower back above her butt. Also her skin is all scabby. I really cant be spending money on a vet. What are some treatments I can do ? She also shares a cage with another robo hamster, that one seems fine but I want to know if I should separate them, just in case? I looked up wet tail and I dont think its that. Please help. – Sandy

I believe my cat has an oral tumor! Please help!
Thursday, October 24th, 2013I believe my cat has an oral tumor. In the past 2 weeks the bump under her chin has grown 3x the size. And I just noticed that she lost a tooth and her other teeth are turning sideways. She has also been drooling a lot of blood. As well, losing a lot of weight. So is here anything over the counter type of medication I can give to her to help her ease the pain? What are some ways to help with an oral tumor in a cat without having surgery?
Please help! – Kristin

How can I splint my dogs leg, while letting the pressure sores heal?
Sunday, October 13th, 2013Recently my dog had surgery on his hind leg as a result his front leg started to bow. So, the vet put his front leg in a splint, which then developed pressure sores that need to heal, but the vet kept putting a splint back on his leg and it keeps getting worse. I am not taking him back to that vet anymore. The leg needs to heal and the only way the sores can heal if they have air and antiseptic. Please help. – Amber

Do I have to keep my pet turtle in a tank?
Sunday, September 22nd, 2013I used to have family friends who let their turtle roam the house. I know this could be hazardous to the turtle’s health but I really don’t think it’s a big deal. That turtle lived forever. If I wanted to do this in my own home what are the kinds of things I would need to put out for it? I would have to say tortoise.
Thanks.
