Are plain chopped up carrots good for cats? Our cat has decided he really likes them, and I thought they would be a great and healthy treat for him every now and then so I want to know if it is okay to give him carrots?

Saturday, September 8th, 2012Dog seizures, throw up and dizzy
Thursday, September 6th, 2012It’s now 06 September 2012. About 5 weeks ago, our dog, Chiqui woke, jumped down from bed, threw-up, then it was painful to watch the staggering for 5 minutes and recovered in 10 minutes from the onset.
Today, she did it again. Recommendations??
How do you lift a medium or large dog?
Monday, September 3rd, 2012My grandparents are unable to lift their dog anymore and have asked me to help them give him a bath. The easiest place to give him a bath is in the tubs in the basement, but this requires lifting him three or four feet up into the tub. He’s twelve years old (about 40 pounds) and is used to this – and hates baths. He knows me very well. I love spending time at my grandparents playing with him, and I walk and brush him regularly! I have no problem lifting that much weight, but I’m concerned about lifting an unwilling (and fairly large) squirming dog. What is the best way to lift a dog this size so that he is comfortable and feels secure?
My Shorty gets scarred and hides whenever dishes are washed
Friday, August 31st, 2012Shorty gets scarred and hides whenever dishes are washed or dryed and put away. He has never had them thrown at him or anything. We have had him since he was a kitten. Shorty also gets scarred and hides if a radio is turned on but TV noise doesn’t scare him.
Why these other things scare him? Help!

If one of my cats got tapeworms do all my pets need dewormer?
Tuesday, August 28th, 2012The infected cat was given dewormer, as well as my other cat who was at the vet anyway. However, there are two other cats and one dog in the house. Do they all need dewormer? The vet said I should bring them all in, but is that really necessary? I’m having trouble determining if tapeworms are contagious or not. Help!!!
Can it be false pregnancy?
Friday, August 24th, 2012It has been about two months since my dog’s heat cycle ended, and she is exhibiting all the classic symptoms of false pregnancy, except swollen mammary glands and lactation.
Can it be false pregnancy without lactation?
This has happened to her before, and I read once a dog does this; she will almost always do this.
Thank you.

House Training an Older Puppy
Friday, August 10th, 2012I adopted a 8 to nine-month lab mixture puppy. He is well behaved in his crate, shakes hands, etc. He just does not get it that he needs to do his business outside. We have used treats and praised him when he does go out, but we can never trust him to be in the house without carefully watching every move he makes because out of the blue, he will just go! Our petsmart trainer says he is a “dirty dog.” We think he was kenneled for his early months and obviously never trained. Anybody out there know if there is hope for him. He is very sweet and loving disposition. Thanks
My kitten is too skinny
Tuesday, August 7th, 2012HELP!! I’m fostering a kittens and one of them its too skinny. He is all bones, and I’m afraid he might die. What happens is that he gets too excited and instead of drinking out of the bottle he fights with it. He almost wanted to swallow the bottle once I try to feed him and when it’s finally in his mouth, he will eat very little. His brother is doing the same thing and I have notice weight change in them. We feed them 3 times a day, but he doesn’t eat much. I wrap him like a tamale and then feed him, at times that works. They are 5 weeks old and have a full set of teeth but still don’t want to eat soft food, help me PLEASE.
