Hi my cat has been diagnosed with early stages Renal (kidney) failure. I wanted to know do I have to feed my cat those expensive prescription cat foods or is there a more affordable
food he can eat?
Thank you very much
Christine

Hi Chrissy,
This is a fairly common question (unfortunately). There are many replies you can read on our blog (look at the comments below the question).
I’ve done a search for you and you can click on this link to see them: https://vetlocator.com/askapetpro/category/feline-kidney-disease/
There are also others that you can see by click on the category drop down on the right side of our blog and clicking on renal failure and kidney disease.

Thank you very much truly appreciate the help!
Have a great night,

The feline liver is not very efficient when it comes to metabolizing carbs; it is much better at processing fats and proteins. I hope you’re able to find a food that is good for your cat.
