My long haired cat always over grooms himself in the summer and he makes his skin go red and have bald patches. We’ve took to a vet about and nothings wrong with him. He hasn’t got fleas or anything. How do I stop my cat over grooming himself? How do I stop him from making himself go bald. Any ideas plz 🙂
Thank you.
Annie

Annie, is he chewing on himself? He may be itchy. I’m guessing seasonal allergies since he only does it in summer. If that is the case, he may benefit from something like Claritin or Benadryl. You would need the dose from your vet though. Also fish oil is good in these cases. Good luck 🙂
