Are hamster tumors contagious to other hamsters?

My hamster has a tumor but it doesn’t seem to affect her but currently I am babysitting my neighbors hamster. Are hamster tumors contagious? Will it get the other hamster have a tumor too? Hamsters are in two different cages.

    Hi Donna! I would be on the safe side and say that the tumor can be contagious. Never experienced hamsters tumors before, but you can call a vet nearby and ask if the tumor is contagious.
