My dog was diagnosed with early stages of lymphnoid cancer. He is 11 years old and in perfect health otherwise. He has had his 1st chemo Friday.
I have been researching what is the best vitamin, food to give him to help promote the success rate of remission, keep the cancer cells from reforming and keep his vital organs from shutting down during the chemo. Are there any suggestions for increasing the success rate for his recovery and also stop this cancer from reoccurring?
Thank You
I always recommend the use of antioxidants for my patients receiving chemo. The brand I personally use is called AntiOx Ultra from Vitality Systems but there are many good products on the market.
Good nutrition is also critical and you may want to consult with an Oncology Center for further advice. In our area, we use the onlcology center at Florida Veterinary Specialists in Tampa. They are wonderful and have helped many of my cancer patients.

The answer to your question is a definite YES. Hill’s has a prescription diet called N/D which has been formulated specifically for dogs with cancer. This is the food I recommend for all my canine cancer patients.
Ask your veterinarian to provide you literature on this wonderful pet food or go to:

I had a cat with lymphnode cancer and ga e it colloidal silver everyday for a few weeks and his glands were back to normal and he’s still alive, 2 yrs. later. When he was diagnosed, they told me to put him to sleep. He was pathetic. He was a stray and I had fed him day after day, month after month and nothing changed, he could hardly swallow his food his glands were so big. Til finally I couldn’t stand to see him that way anymore and took him to the vet. Good luck hope that helps,THeresa.
