We own a 14 year old Siamese cat and he has stopped eating and is losing weight can you think of anything we can do or can you tell me what you think is wrong with him?

When a cat stops eating there is something in his system telling him to stop.
Has he been seen by a vet?
Is he running a temperature?
Does he have a cold, leukemia, cancer or?
It can be any of those and many more so you have to get to the bottom of WHY.
Recently our young cat had a cold and could not smell. It was minor but it turns out cats need to smell their food in order to eat and since she could not, she was not eating and getting worse. By the time we took her in her temperature had spiked to a very high level and she was pretty sick. Within a few hours of administering her medicine, she was interested in food again.
Let us know what you’ve tried so far and what your vet says. With that hopefully we can help you with suggestions.

Thank your for your fast response. No he has not been to the vet yet he is going tonight.
I was thinking that it might be old age but we still need to know so yes we are taking him to the vet tonight.
