    Martina,

You do need to call a vet asap. Just call and ask them what to do, OK?

    Jorge,
Please call some of your local vets right away and see if you can trade some work for veterinary care. Times are tough for many people right now, including some veterinary hospitals, but it never hurts to ask.

Just a reminder a veterinarian has to pay for staff and insurance and schooling, medicine, utilities, etc. and also has to survive in this economy. Vets being asked for charity is not uncommon. I have a suggestion for you. I think that offering to trade your time for your dog’s health will show your vet how dedicated you are and will give both of you something of value. Your dog healthy again and your vet extra help for their willingness to help you. There is no guarantee that a veterinarian will accept your offer, but I’d keep trying until someone says yes. Just do a zip search on VetLocator and start calling.

    Best wishes,
    Linda
