My 2yr. old cat Tony (Maine Coon) coughs like he is trying to get rid of a hairball but nothing ever comes up. He is shaved so he shouldn’t ingest too much hair.
Now he is sneezing like crazy! Could he have allergies? He is behaving normal, playing and eating Natural Balance Duck/Pea formula.

Have you had someone look at him yet?
He could have a hairball even if nothing comes up, and he could have allergies that are causing sneezing, but someone will need to check him to tell you for sure if any of those things are what’s wrong.
It sounds like he is on a good diet and is acting normal so this is probably not something urgent, but I’d take him in when you can and have your pet pro give him a once over to see what’s causing these symptoms just to be on the safe side.
And if you sense things are getting worse, get him right in.
Cats can have touchy systems and I know from experience that if a cat gets a cold and can’t smell his food, he might stop eating – and that’s not a good thing.
