Helping pet owners get health help For their pets

My dog has a UTI and nothing is helping!

My dog has a uti everything done for her has not helped.

Her vet won’t listen to me.

She will not eat, has the shakes, is in pain and coughs up mucus.

I have taken her 3 times in the last week and she is no better. Please advise me what to do.

She seems to be having a hard time getting her breathe. Her vet is not answering and I need a second opinion.

Please help

You mentioned UTI (urinary tract infection) and mentioned coughing up mucus. Are there two issues? UTI is generally due to an invasion of the pet’s territory. Examples are new pets, new people, new dogs in neighborhood, new neighborhood, etc. In these cases, if the pet continues to have urinary problems, the underlying reason needs to be addressed. Homeopathy is one option. If the pet is not on raw foods, the problem may not resolve due to nutritional issues. In that case, diet changes and targeted supplements are often effective. The only “first aid” I can recommend is Traumeel. One tablet dissolved in one ounce of water and give 10 drops or so every 1-2 hours (more often if very acute, less often if not so acute). When symptoms subside, continue giving twice daily for another week.

Why write a blog? Your animal is ill–find another veterinarian and get that second opinion. Now is better than later. Any doctor that is not listening to their client is asking for a visit to someone else for a 2nd opinion. Get going!

I agree w/ Dr. White – find another veterinarian!!
