“There is no natural cure for osteosarcoma.”
Ernest K. Smith, DVM
” From a veterinarian: Consider shark cartilage, but be aware that the processing of it can destroy the active substances in it that are angiogenesis inhibitors. Last I heard, the brand name “Benefin” was good, but you may also want to do a search for info on this, as it was several years ago that I studied up on it. Work was being done by a Dr. I. William Lane. I believe it came in 740 mg. capsules or a powder, and the dose was 1 capsule per 11 pounds of body weight per day (total dose could be divided into 2-4 dose-times per day.)
I used this in one patient years ago–a Rottweiler with OSA in a front leg and hip dysplasia too severe to allow for amputation. The dog continued to have a large lump but became pain-free for a few months, and the x-rays amazed everyone–it looked like the body had walled-off the cancer.
Unfortunately, it ultimately began growing again despite continued treatment, but this could buy you some time and help with pain. Be sure to get good pain medication from your veterinarian–usually an NSAID plus Tramadol will make a big difference.”
