My 2 yr. old shih tzu was just diagnosed with high triglycerides and needs a diet change. I want to know if I should take him to a specialist (and if so, what kind), or if you could recommend a good animal nutritionist.
Thank you for the help.

in “general” a high fiber diet should be instituted. metabolically, cholesterol is due to an imbalance in the adrenal glands, liver, and pituitary. glandular therapy should help correct this imbalance.
what else was abnormal in the blood?
was the blood test done when the animal was fasted for 24 hours? if not, repeat the test
