I have 2 rabbits, they are brother and sister and I have no clue which one I should get castrated. I have heard that 85% of female rabbits die of cancer every 5 years but I have also heard that the operation is risky and might kill my female. But if I only castrate the male the female might become aggressive towards it. I don’t mind castrating them both either. Please Help!

It would be best to castrate them both. This would take out all of the hormonal aggression between the two. I would not recommend doing just one rabbit because of the aggression issues with the non-castrated rabbit. As for your female, it is more risky not to operate because the risk of uterine cancer is so incredibly high with un-spayed females. Overall I would recommend having them both castrated, but talk to your small animal vet and see what he/she recommends. Good luck 🙂
