8 month French Bulldog that limps. Vets can’t figure out.

I have a 8 month old French Bulldog that has been limping for a few weeks now. I took him to the vet and they took x-rays on both sides and could not see anything wrong. He holds up his rear left foot especially in the morning after he wakes up. He does not seem to be in pain and will even run holding it up. The anti-inflammatory that was given to him seemed like it might have helped but then he started limping aging after the finished his course.

more than likley he could be sleeping on it funny or he could have the problem where the tendon is to short and it hurts for him to stretch it out… only way to check the tendon would be to have a mri done ….

  2. pain after rest, usually means a joint problem. this could be early hip dysplasia (x rays must be taken under sedation with special positioning), as the age is right.
knee could also be the problem. chiropractic, accupuncture and glucosamine supplements will help. test for tick borne diseases as well

My 6 month old French Bulldog has the same exact symptoms. She holds up her rear leg for a few seconds or minutes after getting up from laying down then is perfectly fine after that until she lays down again. My vet also can’t figure it out yet. I would love to know what you eventually found out!

My 5month old has the exact thing.. I would love to know what is going on also. He only has it happen when he first wakes up. Then he is off running around. After reading this it seems to be very common. 🙁
