My dog Bucky is a 13 year old Lab/Chow Mix. He takes Levothyroxine
.6mg, 1pill twice a day for Hypothyroidism. He also gets a joint supplement
called Cety M.
I am looking for Holistic Medicines that would help with the health issues
Bucky is having as explained next –
He has always had fatty tumors, and has had a lot removed surgically. But
he has developed a fatty tumor up in the crease of his inner thigh, which if
surgically removed would be almost impossible to heal because of movement.
The other main problem he has is incontinence, which he wears a diaper
for. We had extensive tests done to find out why he dribbles all the time.
They diagnosed him with nerve compression in the L6 vertebrae. They said he
is in no pain, but it is the reason for the incontinence, plus he has muscle
loss in his rear end and hind legs. He also has some loss of feeling in his
tail. Despite all this, he does still get around great and play a bit. The
specialist said we could do surgery on the spinal nerve, but there is no
gaurantee it will help. He said this may be the worst it will get. We are
afraid the recovery from such a
surgery will be more than he can handle at his age.
Thank You

I would try him on phenypropanolamine (Proin) twice a day, available from your Vet. Sometimes it will help incontinent male dogs. It usually works well of females.

Consider adding Immune One pwder [800-664-8182 http://www.immuneone.com] to his diet. It will help to potentiate all of the other great things that you are doing for him and, if you do decide to go ahead with the surgery, you will be preparing his body to heal in record time.
Also, consider the McLaren torch [www.McLarenUSAINC.com]
Good luck!

Hello,
I would suggest finding a veterinary chiropractor or acupuncturist. Of course, a good raw foods diet will provide better support nutritionally for good muscle mass.
