11 y/o Samoyed with prostate cancer

I have an eleven year old Samoyed that has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. The only medicine given to him from the vet was peroxicam 10mg. I spoke with this vet yesterday by phone and his diagnoses is edenocarcinoma and prostate disease. Is there anything else I can do for my dog???? I don’t want to lose him!!!

    I would recommend one of two things for this extremely difficult case: #1) Find a local practice with a veterinarian BOARD CERTIFIED in internal medicine, and a veterinarian BOARD CERTIFIED in surgery. One with an oncologist would be a plus; or #2) take your beloved dog to a veterinary teaching hospital or veterinary school. Both these types of facilities would offer you what you need to try an help your friend.
