10 y/o Boxer with vestibular symptoms:

Our, boxer dog ,10 years old, has been with symptoms of vestibular disease for almost 3 months. Xrays revealed problems in the bullas. Stugeron did not work. He was given a shot of prednisone and recovered 90% for 8 days, then another shot of prednisone and recovered for another week, but the third shot did not work. Now he will start oral prednisone. He walks in very tight circles to the right, breaths very fast, and is disoriented, and sad, also had nystagmus twice. Is it possible that a vestibular disease lasts all this time? Is there any possibility that our beloved dog recovers? Two vets have seen him and have not prescribed antibiotics. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your advise.

Acupuncture is very helpful for vestibular syndrome.

Antibiotics, and treating any inner ear infections, might be helpful. Otherwise seek out a neurologist to rule out the possibility of any sort of brain tumor.
